President's Message
Dear Alumnus,
Warm greetings from the office of Bimtech Alumni Association (BAA) as we see positive trends in the revival of the economy and thrust on inclusive growth specially in
Large numbers of you live in
Bimtech Alumni Association has been evolving and with the help of its core and dedicated members along with support and encouragement from Bimtech Leadership has been making sincere efforts to deliver various benefits to Alumnus and Students. We are looking to do much more for you as an alumni network.
Bimtech’s ranking, image and popularity has been growing steadily over years under the leadership of Dr. Chaturvedi and his team (That too without Advertising). Moreover our talented and enterprising Alumnus in the industry by virtue of their good work and success is further strengthening the belief that Bimtech is a great institution and Bimtech Products are highly desirable.
Today we are proud to be part of this great Alma Mater. It is hard to think of a finer or more appropriate tradition with which to associate ourselves. And, subtly, it speaks to our driving ambition to emerge as one of the truly great Business Schools of the world.
More on this shortly; first let me update you on an exciting new development with regards to our much awaited virtual home and online presence. Yes, I am talking about the Bimtech Alumni Portal!
An IT services company founded by a Harvard Alumnus, approached Bimtech Leadership Team and Bimtech Alumni Association to create an online presence for all of us. We had detailed brainstorming sessions and after a lot of valuable suggestions and innovative ideas from all it was decided to bring up Bimtech’s own Alumni Portal. This is something we have been working towards for some time, is now becoming a reality.
We are today a family of 3800, however unfortunately we have details of only 800 of you. The biggest challenge for the Alumni Portal Team is to enrol all of us (with our correct and latest information) and they are finding all methods to see, how we can reach you to induct yourself and your classmates into our new home.
Through this communication, I would urge you to register yourself and ask your fellow alumni friends to enrol. The aim is to bring all of us together for mutual benefits and to become a very strong community to reckon with.
This portal will allow us all to come together in one large, modern and sophisticated virtual home, appropriate for an institution with our ambitions. We expect this portal to evolve and mature over time, however we envisage this new home of which all of us can be truly proud of.
The School
We already know that when you studied with Bimtech, we had a very positive experience and that very many of us retain deep affection for our faculty and former classmates. Our challenge is to renew the relationship by finding ways of offering you things that you value today. Broadly, we will be seeking to do this in two ways, helping to keep you in contact with your friends within the alumni network, and providing what we think will be attractive packages of ideas and information via this new medium. What we will be doing is looking to make it attractive for you to stay engaged with us.
The essence of a great school lies in the three things: great faculty, great students and a great alumni network.
So, stay tuned as we roll things out in 2009 including the Annual Alumni Meet.
I am enormously proud of our School and the way it has evolved. I hope you are too. We have a tremendous future and we look forward to having you engaged in it.
With all good wishes,
Alok Gupta
